Mount Pleasant Seafood has been a Lowcountry staple since 1945. As a fourth generation family owned company, the current owners saw an opportunity to capitalize on their 75th anniversary year and sought out the services of In the Black Marketing and Media Consulting.
Strategy
After executing a full business audit, In the Black Marketing and Media Consulting uncovered that there was a large opportunity to share the family’s history and personality to build out an authority presence in the market place. Knowing that people do business with whom they like and trust, it was important to showcase the family, their business practices, and more about them as people. In addition, reimaging the brand as an integral part of the ‘foodie’ lifestyle, was key in generating new customers, brand loyalists, and a projected 50% increase year over year in revenue.
Result
As the foundation of their campaign, In the Black Marketing and Media Consulting designed an annual strategic plan including a 75th Anniversary logo, T-shirt, and socially distant celebration. In addition, In the Black Marketing and Media Consulting designed a new brand website and assume responsibilities and creative direction of all of Mount Pleasant Seafood’s marketing platforms and external messaging. This shift with intention has propelled this Lowcountry Icon to have a record year even in the midst of a Pandemic.
